Flooring

Using a stone floor finish means choosing:
a large variety of colors and grades,
good resistance to wear,
simplified maintenance,
the possibility of including sound and thermal insulation.

The placement method

The thickness of the recess will depend on the placement method:
Mortar bedded flooring (Technical datasheet n° 11)
Bonded flooring (Technical datasheet n° 12)

Traditional placement grouted on a concrete substrate or a screed will require a 4 to 5 cm recess. With glued placement, thin slabs can be placed on a few millimeters of mortar glue such that the total thickness of the recess is about 1.5 cm, depending on the thickness of the stone. This type of floor finish can replace thin floor coverings (for example a carpet). Glued placement is particularly suitable for renovation.

Floor slabs may be placed on pads in the case of a terrace built on a sealing complex or for service floors (Technical datasheet n° 13).
