Wall Cladding

Making a stone cladding means choosing:
quality and durability, as witnessed by the oldest and most prestigious constructions.
a long term investment
low maintenance.

Thin cladding

A thin wall stone cladding is normally composed of 3 cm thick panels held in place by fasteners, and is a modern process for an everlasting material (Technical datasheet No. 5)

Different types of thin cladding

Attached wall cladding with mechanical anchors (Technical datasheet n° 6).
This is the most frequently used process for large structures. It enables external thermal insulation, for new construction and for renovation.

Attached wall cladding with embedded anchors (Technical datasheet n° 7).
A variant of the previous process, which can sometimes be used when the substrate is not concrete.
Attached wall cladding with embedded ties (Technical datasheet n° 8).
Economic traditional process, but incompatible with external thermal insulation.
Bonded wall cladding (Technical datasheet n° 9).
The thin stone cladding is glued to a concrete substrate using high bond mortar glue.

External thermal insulation

Natural stone used with thermal insulation on the outside provides:
Better energy saving due to the lack of thermal bridges.
Guaranteed beauty and durability of the chosen cladding with a wide range of colors, textures, materials.
Highlighting of the architectural part due to a free choice of panel dimensions and the joints layout grid.
Economic maintenance, since stone can be resurfaced and panels can be removed and replaced individually.
Placement in cold weather with mechanical ties.
A ventilated air gap between the insulation and the back face of the stone, to evacuate any infiltrated water.
A good resistance to rain water penetration
Lack of condensation on the inside surface of the wall
